Name day pricing

The University of Helsinki maintains the Finnish and Finnish-Swedish name day calendar. The University owns the copyright to the lists of names, and publication of the names is only possible with the permission of the Almanac Office. Name date information published on mobile applications and on the internet is also subject to copyright. Read more about copyright to name days

The revised lists for 2025 will be available until the end of 2029.

The name date royalty is based on the number of copies, according to the table below. Our pricing is based on a unit price per number of copies, but there is also a minimum charge for each number of copies ordered. The maximum price of the previous price tier constitutes the minimum price of the next tier. As a result, the minimum price principle is often applied to the quantities at the beginning of each new price band.

• 499 units at €0.315 each = €157.19 (maximum price of the previous tier)

• 500 units at €0.273 = €136.50 (imputed price)

• As the minimum price for an order of 500 pieces is €157.19, we charge this amount

This is to ensure that our pricing model responds as consistently as possible to increases in order volumes and is clear to our customers.

The name date charge for bilingual calendars is one and a half times that of monolingual calendars. Prices are for 2027. VAT of 25,5 % will be added to the prices.
