Name day API
The name date interface provides programmatic access to name date data. Through the interface, you can retrieve name date data from different calendars.
The interface allows you to search for name dates using various search criteria, such as name, date or calendar type. For example, you can search for the name date of a specific name, all name dates of a day, or view name dates from different calendars by calendar type.
The interface is especially designed for companies and organisations that want to integrate name date data into their own systems or services. To use the interface, a licence key is required, which can be obtained by contacting our customer service

Name days for cats, dogs, horses
In 2011, the University of Helsinki published name day calendars for cats, dogs and horses. The calendars were created by Marianne Blomqvist and Minna Saarelma-Paukkala.

Historical name days
The list contains names and dates from old Finnish almanacs from 1705 to 2024. Names with the same date in the current Finnish or Finnish-Swedish name day calendar are not included.
