In 2025, new names will once again be added to the almanac in Finland. The name day calendar for Finnish-speakers will add 33 new names, and the calendar for Swedish-speakers will add 27.

The website of the University Almanac Office will be renewed over the course of 2023. The new site has been designed for customers who order calendar materials as well as for anyone interested in calendar-related topics. Easy purchases will also become available in our online shop in the near future.

In 2023, two new flag days will be added to the Finnish calendar: Finnish Nature Day (the last Saturday in August) and Miina Sillanpää’s Day, Day of Civic Participation, on 1 October. Both are customary flag days in the calendar. After the reform, the Finnish calendar will have seven official flag days, specified in the decree on flag flying, and fifteen customary flag days.
